I know it’s years and years past, but it looks like Snow is missing a glove in that last panel? The hand is flesh-toned, not blue, and looks too …. fine, to be a gloved hand.
Could that be a chainsaw protruding from Lady Unicorn’s forehead? Most gods and goddesses throughout history have been portrayed as having either vengeful or mercurial temperaments and Giavere seems to be no exception.
I’m wondering how she will react to Snow’s presence or because she has a mad on she is already.

YES! A vicious unicorn! Sorry if I sound bloodthirsty, but unicorns are not cute and cuddly like they tend to be portrayed; and stories that make them mean tend to make EVERYTHING dark and horrible. It’s nice to see a beautiful story with traditional unicorns.
I’m with ya on this one. We need more wild, vicious unicorns, like they used to be.
OBJECTION !! You have no proof about unicorns being traditionally evil beings, other than rumors ! This will get you nowhere, Miles.

Gods are funny things. Just because we see them as sweetness and light, that does not mean that they ARE sweetness and light!
horses dont have split hooves. that spirit has part deer or bull or hog as well.
Part goat actually. In European folklore, the unicorn had the hooves and beard of a goat as well as a lion’s tail.

My Little Giavere: Courtship is Tragic?
Maybe Giavere’s not pleased that a manitou is visiting her shrine disguised as a human without saying bonjour properly and making the appropriate obeisance. Maybe she’s on the outs with Snow’s Papa since he decided to go on an annual killing spree. These gods and goddesses have opinions about each other.

I’ve seen that before too – Tanith Lee’s ‘Black Unicorn’.

Somehow I doubt that it’s how she looks like when she manifests to human in her unicorn form.
Because I’m a beer-drinking man, it reminds me of the legend of Trois Pistoles:
Trois Pistoles (Three Coins) is named after a small village of Quebec. Founded over 300 years ago, Trois Pistoles gave birth to several legends, including one about the Black Horse. It involved a local bishop who conjured up a good devil (appearing in the form of bridled black steed) to haul large brick stones to construct a new church. When someone accidentally removed the bridle, the black horse suddenly vanished just as the last remaining stone was to be set. This stone is still missing, as can be seen when visiting the local church.
Quebec brewery Unibroue makes a beer by that name, possibly their best.

Okay, that is possibly the best micro-brewery site I’ve ever seen. I love the legends included with each of the beers. Even the Daughters of the King get some love with Blonde de Chambly. And several nearby stores carry Unibroue. I know what I’m doing this weekend.
That Black Horse is no ‘good devil’, it’s a Water Horse or ‘Nock’ horse (Knøkken) from Keltic and Scandinavian legends. You could catch one and make it plow an entire field (around 30 to 60 acres) in a single day, but when the bridle comes off it’s back to its pond. (Hint, feed him before removing the bridle and he won’t hold a grudge.) His back has the power to adhere to any rider, so if anyone is foolish enough to ride him, they’re whisked off to his pond to drown and be eaten (hint, providing him food may let him release you). Towing building stones and aiding in their placement is no more work for a Nock than plowing that field, and various faiths don’t deter the Nock, but feeding him before release will make everything go better.
