Birds of a Feather Page 6
April 13th, 2014Jassart ventures into cellar to look for Henriette’s hidden cache on Birds of a Feather page 6. He gives the cellar a tossing of a lifetime. To see how well all this searching goes for Jassart, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.
The Art Contest concluded on Saturday night, and we have a winner. Congratulations to Laura Chilson for her fine piece of Blaise with the alchemical seal. My thanks to all the artists who submitted pieces to our art contest. I’ll be in touch this week regarding the prizes. Also, my thanks to everyone who voted. We’ll be moving all the submissions over to our Extras page this week.
This weekend is AwesomeCon! I’ll be there at booth 347. I’m participating in the World Building panel on Friday at 4 p.m. and Creative Collaborations on Sunday at 2 p.m. We’ll be hanging out next to our good friends Julie and Amanda of Ianua. Because I will be at Awesomecon, there is no Almanac entry this Friday. Also, this coming Sunday is Easter and we will not be posting a page update next Monday.
Hmmm. I wonder what sort of metal can be melted and poured into square nail molds?
Those pots and nails looked rather shiny. Almost sparkly.
Two staircases to the cellar? Odd design choice. Was that a common colonial thing?
From the looks of it one staircase is for interior access, so you didn’t have to brave rain and winter weather, the other stairwell allows for bringing goods in from the outside such as vegetables, for storage.
Our old farmhouse in the Ottawa Valley had this set up.
Spot on. This is the type of set up I have for the house. That second stair leads outside.
You sure those things are boring? Looks just the sort of things that you can trade with the local tribes for highly valuable beaver pelts. Especially those nails. Not that I cam imagine Jassart paddling a canoe of nails up the river.
Could you link to the winning entry? Maybe even the top 4? Otherwise I doubt I’ll ever be able to get a good look at them :(
Yes. As soon as Diane gets them uploaded onto the Extras page, I’ll link them here and in the next journal entry.
Maybe she hid it at the bottom of a nail barrel.
