January 31st, 2018Is this the first time that Vivienne and Mathilde have worked together? I think it is. Mathilde did provide the entertainment at the ball back in Chapter 12 so it’s possible they met there. Either way, Mathilde would immediately recognize Vivienne, and Viv is used to giving orders.

Unfortunately, I don’t think there’s any way we got rid of Jassart that easily. Something is going to happen to let him out, mark my words.
Oh, I’m sure he’ll get out. Though him being stuck in there forever has an entertainingly anticlimactic appeal.
On the other hand, I kind of like the idea of him being stuck there for centuries. We know, for example, that Mathilde is going to live a super-long life due to Cienan’s teachings. I kind of like the idea of Jassart escaping in a couple hundred years, and Matti having to be the one to put him back.
The last time Talons-That-Seek got shut in, it didn’t have a human to dig a way out. Now there is one. And he’s pretty angry.

I was kind of hoping for a Merry Melodies-style collision between Talons and the closing rock door.
Ms de Tilly got off lightly. I was expecting them to be taking her home in a matchbox. I suppose there’s still time.
