Chapter 7 Page 8
August 4th, 2013That conversation didn’t go as either Jassart or Blaise hoped on Chapter 7 Page 8. Our scene changes with the next page. To see who’s a major player in the next scene, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.
Otakon is this weekend. We’ll be in the Artist Alley with all those fantastic prints as well as our first four chapters.
Giavere Print
August 1st, 2013Our colorist, Naty Baaklini, has a wonderful surprise for all of you. She has created a beautiful painting of Giavere in her unicorn aspect. Thank you, Naty!
This print will be available at Otakon next week in the Artist Alley. It will also take its place on our Almanac entry for Giavere.
Chapter 7 Page 7
July 30th, 2013Blaise admits to Jassart that he might be kinda sorta in love with a snow spirit on Chapter 7 Page 7. Jassart tells him how stupid that is. To see a preview of the next page, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.
Otakon is next week. We’ll be there with books for Chapters 1-4, the prints of the Spirits of the Seasons as well as the alchemy prints, and buttons galore.
Chapter 7 Page 6
July 28th, 2013Blaise and Jassart have strongly differing opinions on what to do with the manitou on Chapter 7 Page 6. To see a preview of Wednesday’s page, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.
Otakon rapidly approaches. Snow by Night will be in the Artist Alley at Table W12. Here’s a handy map on how to find us.
We’re right next door to our good friend Julie Wright of Ianua at W11, around the corner from Whitney of Prism the Miracle at W13, just down the way from Technoangel Studios at W09, within easy speaking distance from Eren and Cheznian of Tamuran at W05, too close for her comfort from Jenn Zyren Smith of LaSalle’s Legacy at W06, across the way from Jessi Bavolack and Matt Pascal of Geeks Next Door at BB02, who are neighbors to Danny Valentini of Draconia Chronicles at BB03, who is next to the Tangent Artists at BB02, and they’re not too far from Lora Innes of The Dreamer at CC02, Mookie and Garth of Star Power at CC04, and Krow and Songbird of Spinnerette at AA01. One of the few webcomics we’re NOT near is Amya who are all the way over K03 and K04.
Chapter 7 Page 5
July 23rd, 2013Blaise makes a request of Jassart which goes about as well as you would expect on Chapter 7 Page 5. Blaise is also suspicious of Snow-by-Night’s claim that she can’t feel anything. Is he on to something? We’ll have to find out. To see a glimpse of the next page, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.
Otakon – our biggest show of the year – is rapidly approaching. We’ll be at table W-12 on this handy-dandy Map of Otakon’s Artist’s Alley. We’re right beside Julie Wright of Ianua and Whitney Delaglilo of Prism the Miracle. It’s a webcomic wonderland.
Sun-in-Splendor
July 11th, 2013Hello again! This is Diane, reporting in for update duty while Eric and Brittany are at Connecticon this weekend. In place of the usual Almanac update, we are previewing another of Julie Wright’s wonderful prints! This is Sun-in-Splendor, the spirit of summer. Eric sent me a lovely poem he came up with on the long drive to Connecticon that I thought I’d share alongside the preview:
How bright she burns with eyes like tawny amber
and hair wreathed in a crown of radiant fire.
She chases the sky with leonine grace;
With boundless strength she soars ever higher.
If you like what you see, you can pick up a print of the spirits of the seasons at Otakon 2013 or our other future conventions!
We return on Monday with Page 2 of Chapter 7, which you can take a peek at early by voting for us on Top Web Comics. If you’re at Connecticon this weekend, please swing by and say hello!
Chapter 7 Page 1
July 9th, 2013And so Chapter 7 “I Know What’s Best” begins with Page 1. Is that Mathilde? Snow-by-Night with Jassart? Is this a love triangle? What’s going on? All in good time, gentle reader. To see a preview of the next page, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.
Brittany and I are off to Connecticon on Thursday. Wish us luck! We hope to see you there.
Dancer-in-the-Dawn
July 7th, 2013Hello everyone! It’s Eric and I’m back from London. It was a wonderful trip and I greatly enjoyed our travels. I am a huge fan of audio-tours. You know that Jeremy Irons is the voice for the English language audio tours at Westminster Abbey? It was like Scar from Lion King is talking to you about British history. It was awesome. So many great experiences. The kitchen tour at Hampton Court was great. I spent an entire day at the Tower of London, crawling all over every corner of it. I even saw the dreaded dungeons of the White Tower where they tortured people. The dungeons are still used for torture today because that’s where they keep …. the GIFT SHOP!
I hope you all enjoyed the vignette Winter Fantasy, illustrated by Julie Wright. She’s pretty good isn’t she? Would you like to see even more of her work? Well, you’re in luck. Julie is working on a set of prints for me. This set of four prints are the Spirits of the Seasons. You’ve met one spirit: Father Winter. Snow-by-Night has referred to the spirit of Summer: Sun-in-Splendor. Allow me to introduce, in the preview above, the Spirit of Spring: Dancer-in-the-Dawn. These prints will be available at Otakon in August.
Late-breaking news. Snow-by-Night has been invited to join Connecticon’s Online Media Guest Hall. They’ve got quite a selection of fabulous webcomic quests. So we’re in good company. It’s this coming weekend.
