Serpents in the Water Page 9
May 18th, 2016Musketeers are tasty, but they buy time on Page 9 of Serpents in the Water. Meanwhile, the stress causes General Sayre to have an asthma attack. To see a preview of the next page, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.
Serpents in the Water Page 8
May 16th, 2016The Morantine fight back against the Leviathan on Page 8 of Serpents in the Water. The flag lieutenant signals the fleet via lantern to form a line. My favorite use of lantern signals in a story has to be Ponyo where the wife and husband are having an argument from ship to shore. Such a great scene.
To see the Leviathan’s retort to the Morantine, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.
The Tattered Weave Kickstarter is going really well. Less than $1,000 to go until we hit our goal. Please consider helping us launch this fantastic new project!
Serpents in the Water Page 7
May 11th, 2016The leviathan puts on a display of intimidation on Page 7 of Serpents in the Water. Madame l’Admiral is not impressed. When you’ve been at sea as long as she has, it takes a lot to faze her. General Sayre is pretty young and doesn’t have her experience at sea. When you vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics, you’ll see the Admiral’s response to the leviathan.
I’m running a Kickstarter for the Tattered Weave, which is an interactive story with pets and games. Kristen Kemper who illustrated The Peacemaker and the Tree of War did the opening animation for Tattered Weave. We posted it on Youtube as well as having it on the Kickstarter. Check it out! It’s beautiful.
Serpents in the Water Page 6
May 9th, 2016The leviathan rears from the deep green sea on Page 6 of Serpents in the Water. Time to adjourn the meeting, Admiral. Please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics to see more awesome sea serpent action by Cindy Mirable.
In case you missed the update on the Volume 2 Kickstarter, I have the translations for Volume 2 from Nic. I’m going to be lettering in French for the next couple of weeks. So expect those files by the end of the month.
And speaking of Kickstarter, the campaign for the Tattered Weave is live! It’s a virtual community with games, collectibles, creature companions, and an interactive story that lets you decide the fate of the world. Check out the animation in the Kickstarter video.
Serpents in the Water Page 5
May 4th, 2016The leviathan approaches on Page 5 of Serpents in the Water. Be afraid, sailors. Be very afraid. When you vote for Snow by Night, you’ll see why they should be so afraid.
The Tattered Weave is going full steam. If you want an interactive story with crafting and collectables, this is the game for you. It has mini-games, avatars, adorable kith, and quests. Also, there’s a story behind it all that provides a heart and a theme to it. We’ll be launching a Kickstarter for it tomorrow. You can watch videos describing some of the features on our YouTube channel.
Serpents in the Water Page 4
May 2nd, 2016The Morantine discuss their strategy on Page 4 of Serpents in the Water. I was impressed at how you brought up points that the Lions of Morante address on this page. Great minds think alike…
The Morantine might have more immediate problems than the mountain passage. When you vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics, you can get a preview of what that is.
Shifting from Snow by Night for a bit, I’m putting together a new project with the help of Diane, Steph, and about a dozen artists — The Tattered Weave. It’s a digital community with quests, collectables, games, and pets. If you’ve played Gaia Online or Flight Rising, you are familiar with this type of site. Diane talks about all the features on our YouTube channel. It’s going to be a lot of fun. Check it out.
Serpents in the Water Page 3
April 27th, 2016Sherbourg is the ultimate goal of the Morantine fleet in Page 3 of Serpents in the Water. Strangely, General Sayre’s officers are less than enthusiastic. When you vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics, you can see Sayre’s answer to their objections. And no, it’s not Game of Thrones so he doesn’t kill them all.
Serpents in the Water Page 2
April 25th, 2016The Lions of Morante meet on Page 2 of Serpents in the Water. It was common practice in the navies of the Age of Sail to only open their orders when at sea. Ports were full of spies, and sailors were notoriously loose lipped.
Vote for Snow by Night to see the target of the Morantine fleet. You can probably guess because of the story I’ve been telling so far, but confirmation is always good.
