Almanac – People
January 31st, 2011I added two new entries to the Almanac today – Alays Maccard and Claudine Nareau. Alays is the server at the Harp and Trumpet who appeared on page 10. Claudine is the spitfire silversmith giving Jassart an earful on page 13. Both entries may be found under the Merchant heading of the People section in the Almanac. Since the characters have appeared in the comic, these entries also appear on the Cast page.
Also, I’ve uploaded a new incentive panel for those who vote on Top Web Comics. Please vote for us! We greatly appreciate your support.

Page 13 is up for your enjoyment. Claudine is quite the little firecracker, even if she’s not very good at expressing her outrage. She is amusing Blaise more than she’s intimidating him. Hmmm, I spy an Almanac entry on the horizon, dealing with Sherbourg slang.
Almanac – Currency
January 24th, 2011We’ve got another update in the Almanac for you. On page 8, Jassart makes a comment about “A couple hundred blessings?” Blessings are the coins of the realm, but not the only coins. Take a look at the Almanac to see all the different types of currency used in Sherbourg.
Don’t forget, a new incentive picture is waiting for those who vote on Top Web Comic.
Sneak Peeks as Incentives
January 20th, 2011I’m pleased to announce that we’re now offering incentives to vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comic. When you vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comic, you’ll get to see a sneak peek at next week’s page. Even better, I’m going to change the sneak peek on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. That’s three different peeks, so please vote for us early and often. We would love to have your support.
In case you’re wondering how to vote for us on Top Web Comic, We have a lovely graphic link for us. It’s on the sidebar to the right. Just click on it and you’ll be taken to the voting portal. Thanks!

Page 12 is up. Mathilde joins the boys and passes on a bit of news. As you can see, Mathilde isn’t shy about which of the two she prefers. I was pleased at how well Brittany brought their interactions to life.
In other news, David Christ of Baldmangames is hosting DDXP 2011 on January 27-30 in Fort Wayne Indiana. If you like tabletop roleplaying games such as Dungeons & Dragons you should consider attending. He’s got some excellent guests from Wizards of the Coast and Paizo, as well as many freelance designers. There will also be games. So many games, including Living Forgotten Realms and the premier of Ashes of Athas, a new shared-world campaign set in the burnt world of Dark Sun.
Almanac – Punch
January 16th, 2011This is our first Almanac update since we went live with the site in November. This week, our subject is punch! Blaise and Jassart are enjoying a pitcher at the Harp and Trumpet on page 9. In fact, Blaise gives away the ingredients to what they’re drinking. To find out more about this popular beverage, see the entry in the Almanac on punch. Just look under Cuisine in the Culture book of the Almanac.
Links Abound
January 14th, 2011One of the new additions to the website is the Links page. I’ve started off with links to five other websites that I highly recommend: LaSalle’s Legacy, Tamuran, The Dreamer, Today Nothing Happened, and Raging Swan. Rather than just post the banner, I’ve added a short personal note explaining why I am recommending it.
I have also created a number of banners to link to Snow by Night. Feel free to use the banners to link back to Snow by Night, and help me spread the word of our tale of colonial fantasy.

Page 11 is up. Jassart and Blaise continue their up-to-now one-sided conversation, and another party joins them at the end. I love that last panel Brittany and Ricky put together, and I’m guessing you will too.
Now that the new website is up, I’m going to be updating the Almanac on a regular basis. The Almanac gives additional information into the world of Snow by Night that is not contained in the comics. It has always been my goal to update this resource regularly. So starting next Monday, I’ll providing weekly insights into our setting. I hope you enjoy them.
