Almanac – Canoes
November 8th, 2013This week’s Almanac entry is canoes. One of my favorite outdoor activities is going canoeing. It’s a beautiful way to travel. I grew up on the St. John’s River in north Florida and my father had a canoe. I took that boat everywhere, for miles up and down the river. For our comic, these light watercraft are the backbone of transportation in Aradie. Roads are few and far between. Instead, it’s so much easier to slide these canoes into the rivers and paddle your way through the wilderness.
My apologies for not getting the update up on Wednesday. We should be back on track for next week. Thank you for your patience!
Mathilde Illustration
November 6th, 2013My apologies. I have not received the next page from the vignette artist. I’ll try to have that up as the Friday update. Until then, please enjoy this illustration of Mathilde. We’re redoing our business cards and this is the new updated image of our chanteuse.

Peyre and the other voyageurs reach the nations of the Sweet Seas (the Great Lakes) in Page 4 of A Life So Free. To see a preview of the next page (and some doggies!), please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.
The SpiderForest comic of the week is Chirault by Thane. This fantasy comic about curses, demons, and the imminent end of the world started in 2007 so there’s a vast archive. Plenty of entertainment for you!
