March 31st, 2015Alays makes her dramatic entrance on Chapter 10, Page 26. She’s been on screen before, but that was all the way back in Chapter 1. Now she gets speaking lines! Almanac – Odaneois
March 26th, 2015This week’s Almanac are the Odaneois, the vanished nation of the Grande Vire. I’m playing a bit with history on this one. The Odaneois are based loosely (very loosely) on the the Stadacona. d’Artais is a conflation of Cartier and de Champlain. The original settlement at what would because Québec failed because of poor relationships with the natives. Poor relations due to the penchant of Europeans to kidnap the locals and force them to act as guides.
