February 17th, 2016If you’re throwing a fête in Sherbourg, you want Mathilde in charge of your entertainment. Or so thinks Jacqueline on Chapter 12 Page 19. I think Julie and Naty like drawing and coloring fancy dresses. Or maybe I just like the way they draw dresses. I’ll have to include more ball scenes in the future. With intrigue and possibly smooching.

The dresses are impressively intricate!
I did notice one oddity, though; in frame 2 Jacqi’s dress appears to be full-sleeved, but in frame 3 the sleeves are clearly cut just above the elbow.
This two girls are my best girls!
The dresses are all good, but I vote for Jacqi’s brocaded purple gown.
At least, it looks like a brocade.
Cienan is all like, “I know everything, and now I’m just enjoying the fun
while my ninja maid cleans up the mess.”

I know, right? Ewwwww!
Grandson: A book?
Grandpa: That’s right. When I was your age, television was called books. And this is a special book. It was the book my father used to read to me when I was sick, and I used to read it to your father. And today I’m gonna read it to you.
Grandson: Has it got any sports in it?
Grandpa: Are you kidding? Fencing, fighting, torture, revenge, giants, monsters, chases, escapes, true love, miracles…
Grandson: Doesn’t sound too bad. I’ll try to stay awake.
Grandpa: Oh, well, thank you very much, very nice of you. Your vote of confidence is overwhelming.

Grandson: [interrupting] Hold it, hold it. What is this? Are you trying to trick me? Where’s the sports?
Grandson: [suspiciously] Is this a kissing book?
Grandpa: Wait, just wait.
Grandson: Well, when does it get good?
Grandpa: Keep your shirt on, and let me read
