Chapter 7 Page 17

September 8th, 2013

On Chapter 7, Page 17, Jassart and Snow-by-Night head back to town. We also learn that their conversation did not go unobserved. The scene changes with the next page. Guess who’s back? To find out, please vote for Snow by Night on Top Web Comics.

This weekend, we will be at Small Press Expo as part of the SpiderForest table. There will be many fine comics on the table from a dozen creators. Come by and pick up a few.

Mathilde increased her awesomeness. (Just when I thought it was impossible)

So, did Mathilde betray Jassart? I hope not. I love Jassart and loathe Blaise to the core of my soul.

    James Bond action scene: GO!

No? Okay, I guess she’s just going to spy without being caught then. And even if she was caught, none of them would try to kill the other. And none of them seem to have skis anyway. Which seems kind of strange, because those falls can’t be that close to the city, can they?

We can have a James Bond action scene… or it’s 18th century equivalent. But first, we have to go see what Blaise is up to.

Now in my head Mathilde is humming the ‘Misson:Impossible’ theme! XP

Depending on where they are going in the city, they could be anywhere from 5 to 20 km (based on how close the Montmorency falls are to Québec City, which is the geographical basis for this alternate setting.)

Those falls are, nowadays, a popular tourist attraction. I couldn’t tell you if that was the case in the 1600s, so it’s hard to say if there would have been a worn down, packed down path from the falls to the city, though…

The snow cone shape leading to the falls is quite realistic, I have to say. Just google “Montmorency falls winter” and you’ll see what I mean.
